The Legislative Assembly of Paraná approved this Wednesday (30), in second and third discussions, the bill of the Executive Power that deals with changes in the ICMS rates applied in the state.
The initiative promotes an increase in the base tax rate from 18% to 19% and raises the rate on products such as carbonated water and with sugar or flavorings, soft drinks, soft drinks, non-alcoholic beers and isotonic drinks from 18% to 20%.
The value originally proposed for these products was 25%, but the text was modified by an amendment proposed by the governing group. The reorganization of the administrative structure of the state, proposed by the Executive Branch, was also approved.
